The Duraboot AFO is fabricated to prevent or treat lower extremity disorders associated with immobility and trauma. This AFO treats and prevents a wide variety of extremity disorders such as but not limited to; Foot drop; knee flexion, hip rotation, adduction/scissoring, postoperative hip abduction and pressure necrosis. The Duraboot AFO is a high quality plastic splint with a fleece inner liner that aligns the lower extremity correctly while relieving pressure. It has a “floating” the heel, which aids/prevents heel irritation or decubitus ulcers.

Due to the plastic frame being lightweight the Duraboot AFO applies a moderate continuous counterforce to the plantar aspect of the foot for effective and efficient treatment of ankle plantar flexion contractures and foot drop.

This AFO includes the Rotator Bar, to control hip and leg rotation and the adjustable Toe Post to relieve pressure from bed linens, but can be positioned to the side for treatment of malleous and lateral ulcers. Order Now!
